Polmak’ s standard line of manufacturing program also includes commonly used fishing tools. According to the requirements of the fishing (rescue) operation , they could be manufactured as right hand or left hand threaded. The most commonly used fishing tools are the male type which is used to catch the item to be fished from the inside , or the female type (Die Collar) which is used to catch from the outside. JAWS FOR WOMMER FOOT CLAMP

Polmak manufactures foot clamp jaws using  forged and heat treated special alloy steels. For special jobs, tungsten carbide insert type clamp jaws can be manufactured upon request. Polmak jaws are the “Long Type” and they provide 100 % more contact area between the rod and the jaws. Polmak jaws also minimize the danger of distorting or squeezing the drill rod or the casing tubing.

CASING CUTTERS

When a string of casing is stuck in a drill hole , a portion of it can be salvaged by cutting the casing above the stuck zone with a casing cutter. The casing can be cut at any desired point in the string.

The cutter connects directly to the drill rods and the pressure of the circulating water against a piston forces the steel or tungsten carbide tipped cutters out against the casing. After the casing is cut the pressure is released and the cutters retract.
