Polmak manufactures all types of DCDMA, Metric and Wireline series Tungsten Carbide Bits and Casing Shoes. These bits are effective substitutes for diamond tools in soft formations, overburden drilling and cleaning of the hole from any obstructive material.

 

Polmak’s manufacturing line includes two types of Tungsten Carbide Bit.

 

1)     TUNGSTEN CARBIDE INSERT CORE BIT; These bits are manufactured with octagonal TC inserts which are specially developed for rotary drilling to give high wear resistance. All sizes including face discharge type are available any time at our stock. Instead of the TC Core Bits and casing shoes Polmak also manufactures. Non Core Tungsten Carbide Bits for all required sizes. These non coring bits drill smooth, round holes in soft formations; widely used for grout and anchor bolt hole drilling in addition to drilling holes for driving casings. These bit are manufactured with flat and stepped profiles according to the formations drilled and available at any requested size.

 

2)     CRUSHED CEMENTED TUNGSTEN CARBIDE CORE BITS ;

These bits have reasonably more cutting edges than the normal Tungsten Carbide Bits. Sometimes they can be used to replace surface set diamond bits while drilling in soft formations.

 RECOMMENDATION CHART

OPTIMUM BIT ROTATIONS FOR DIAMOND BITS

Bit performances can be increased by the use of the appropriate pressures and rotations.

The recommended circumferential speeds for surface bits are 1-3 m/sec. And for impregnated bits are  2-4 m/sec. For the DCDMA, Metric and wireline series bits, graphs which show the optimum speed ranges are provided below.
