   DRIVE HAMMER

Polmak currently manufactures two types of drive hammers.

CONVENTIONAL DRIVE HAMMER

This drive hammer consists of a 63.5 kg (140 lb) hammer and a 760 mm hammer guide , which includes upper and lower impact heads.

Hammers are normally made from high quality cast or gray iron. Forged steel eyebolts and an extra heavy chain provide the utmost in safety and wearing qualities.

In addition to the Standard Penetration Test application the conventional drive hammer can also be used as a jarring tool to dislodge the stuck drill string during rescue operations.

AUTOMATIC DRIVE HAMMER

This drive hammer was developed by Polmak in order to decrease the time spent performing the Standard Penetration Test. The device automatically drives the pulling and putting down of the hammer. This provides not only comfort, and speed but also more reliable SPT.
